Generally speaking, most of the nightlife action geared towards tourists is found in South Pattaya, with the densest concentration of bars, Go-Go bars, massage parlours and discos along the famous neon-drenched strip known as Walking Street (stretching from Soi 13 to 16). Unique and unruly, it's shut off to traffic during the evening, with raunchy shows, bar games, competing stereos and lots of booze 'all combining forces to make one huge party zone. Vying to satisfy crowds comprised mainly of men are armies of girls so friendly that even shy guys can confidently get cozy. If only for the 'I've-seen-it' experience rather than 'I've done it' enjoyment, it has to be experienced at least once.

More of the same can be found slightly further north at Soi Pattayaland 1, 2 or 3, especially in Go-Go and beer bars. Soi Pattayaland 3, known commonly as Boyz Town, caters to the burgeoning gay crowd. Towards Central Pattaya Road, Soi 7 to 8 is slightly less hectic but packed with clusters of open-air beer bars, restaurants and bars. And all along Second Road, are little pockets of beer bars.

Candy Shop Pattaya

At this snazzy open-fronted bar/club, Southeast Asian J-Los wriggle and writhe beside blingin' backpackers. Situated in the heart of Walking Street, Candy Shop plays good funky, soul, hip-pop and R&B tunes. The live band is raucous and fun.

Club Insomnia Pattaya

Located upstairs from i-Bar, Club Insomnia features stylish décor, an excellent sound and lighting system and a large dance floor and pool tables. Expect an occasional DJ event which makes the place a little more lively on Fridays, Saturdays, and Holidays.

Airport Club Pattaya

At the bottom of Soi Diamond on Walking Street, Airport Club opens early in the afternoon (but it’s known for the later the better.) Girls at the front dressed up in their gimmick light-blue air hostess uniform, but the others inside (as can be expected) wear slightly less clothing. The bar has stages and poles, a shower area in the centre and a paddle play bed at the back. Prices of drinks are reasonable.

Lucifer Disko TK Pattaya

Sinful, sweaty hip hop fun. The big main room with an underground cave-like décor, stalactites and devil faces resembles hell. However, if you like live hip hop blasting from speakers bigger than many of the girls who flock here, this might just be heaven. Double charges for westerners (drinks), but free entry.

Marine Disco Pattaya

An old established disco from way back. Heats up about 01:00. Several other 'Marine Discos operate inside Marine Plaza on Walking Street, open until early morning hours.

The Blues Factory Pattaya

The Blues Factory has two live bands on its books. Earthy blues, R&B and rock each night, have earned this relatively long-standing venue (open since 2001) 'the best live music in Pattaya' moniker.

Club Boesche Pattaya

Highly recommended by many Go-Go goers, Club Boesche is a recently arrived split-level lesbian Go-Go. It has a large Jacuzzi-style tub sunk into the floor in front of the bar which is occupied in shifts by pairs of uninhibited ladies non-stop from 20:00 until late at night. Affordable priced drinks and no entry fee.

Roxy Agogo, Pattaya, Thailand

Roxy offers complete adult entertainment with choreographed girl shows rotating regularly to give the dancers a chance to drink and chat with customers from 22:00 until around 02:00.

Angel Witch Pattaya, Thailand

Forget all you’ve seen at Pattaya’s typical pole-dancing dens and try out a new experience at this strip club-slash-gogo bar.

With about 30 shows running each night – and these are actually well choreographed – you will not get bored easily. Shows begin around 10:00 and are ‘classy’ enough to appeal to a wider audience. There’s no cover charge, but expect high price tags for drinks.

Moulin Rouge Pattaya

Don’t be misled by its name. This is not the place to go for a cabaret show, though it offers a same-same but different experience. Located on the upper level of King Seafood Restaurant, you couldn’t possibly miss the Moulin Rouge as it has a large display window at the front, occupied by two young ladies doing pole dancing to get the costumers inside. Now you know what this place offers.

Goodfellas Pattaya

This groovy restaurant and bar is famous for its deep red setting and lively atmosphere, complemented by cheesy chart hits and live band. Also, the bar serves delicious food and has pool tables as well as large projector screen displaying ESPN and Star Sports.

Maxie’s Bar Pattaya

Maxie’s Bar is an open-air drinking spot with a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. It offers a full range of beers and spirits with lots of young sexy ladies who are eager to entertain and please. No food available, though there are plenty of stalls nearby. Happy hour is from 18:00 – 20:00. There’s a pool table, too.

FLB Bar Pattaya

FLB Bar is an air-conditioned bar with a live band playing old-school hits mixed with some pop culture tunes. Guests can also enjoy a conversation with the bar’s hostesses.

Sweethearts A Go-Go Pattaya

Situated half way down the Walking Street, Sweethearts A Go-go is a narrow but long single shophouse-style bar. It has four dancing stages on two sides, with a couple (or more) birds in bikinis on each. Draft beers and ladies drinks served at attractive prices and even cheaper during their happy hours. Quite a bargain place to stop for a drink or two.

X Zone Agogo Pattaya

This establishment boasts one of the best and most exciting a Go-Go bars on Walking Street. The recent management of the place has brought along plenty of new hotties as well as affordable drinks. The bar has an overhead dancing area and is never short of dancers. These ladies certainly know how to entertain while you're enjoying your beer. It’s a place to experience.
